Bachelor's and Master's theses at the Institute of Sociology and Social Psychology - Field of Sociology

First examiners of a thesis are either professors, private lecturers or research assistants in sociology.

The second examiner is usually a member of the department of your first examiner. In exceptional cases, a member of staff from another department may be the second examiner if this person has a special interest in the topic of your thesis.

The topics for a thesis will be discussed in the office hours of the first examiner. Please inform yourself on the homepage about their respective main topics or specific requirements of your first examiner.

Please note that as of PO 2015, participation in the colloquium Social Sciences (Bachelor) or Exam and Research Colloquium (Master) is mandatory. Therefore, please register in time via KLIPS 2.0 (see below, Detailed Information).

For the course BACHELOR VWL SOZIALWISSENSCHAFTLICHER RICHTUNG please note the following:

The topic assignment, possibly also the paper assignment, will take place in the first session of your colloquium.

The examination performance consists of portfolio, the examination registration or deregistration deadline can be found in KLIPS.  

Prerequisite for the award of credit points: Passing of both parts of the combined examination.


The portfolio incl. the original signed declaration must be submitted electronically (by mail to your examiner).

The examiner may have the work electronically stored and processed in anonymized form for the purpose of review.
