Information on participation in the courses in sociology
General information on examinations is to be found on the website of the WiSo Examination Office.
Prerequisite for participation in courses
Prerequisite for the participation in courses is the admission in KLIPS.
Your will find the dates for the regististration periods as well as information on prioritising your preferences in KLIPS.
Please note that only one admission is granted per module in Sociology through KLIPS. In the phase of allocation of remaining places, only remaining free places are allocated. So if you register for a new course within a module, you should therefore deregister from the fixed place you have already obtained in order to be considered for new place allocation in another seminar of the same module.
TIP: Register only for seminars in which places are still available during the remaining place allocation phase.
There are no waiting lists in KLPS. After places have been allocated, requests for places that could not be taken into account are cancelled centrally.
Please note: Registering for a course in KLIPS does not constitute registration for an examination! Examination registration is carried out separately via KLIPS.
As a rule, exam registration takes place via the course function. Valid admission to the course in KLIPS is therefore a prerequisite for exam registration. Further infomation can be found here.
Information on the type of exam registration can be found in the respective course descrpiton.
Please pay attention to the module assignment of the seminars. If you have passed a module examination, you cannot take a second examination in this module. If you register for a module examination that you have already passed, your registration will be cancelled by the Examination Office after the registration deadline.
